Press Tab. Each word lights up when it is spoken. Great for hearing how words join together.

Too easy? Set the speed to 1.25x or 1.5x.
Bookmark your favourite list
Choose a topic, a sort and filters, then bookmark the page. They're saved in the address.
Quick win
Only a few minutes? Quick win shows videos under 5 minutes. Finish one today.
Find your finished videos
Signed in, the library hides them. Choose Status → All videos, or open My videos → Finished.
From YouTube to a lesson
Watching youtube.com/watch?v=ABC? Try dictationdaily.com/videos/ABC. It works if the video is in the library.
Save mobile data
⚙ → Quality → lowest. You only need the sound.
No subtitles, on purpose
Subtitles are always off, so you really listen. You see the words after you get the sentence right.
Your place = last correct sentence
Go back and redo sentence 5? Next time the lesson opens at sentence 6.
Use the hint as a helper
Type a few words and press Enter. The hint shows the next word.
Practise smarter
Little and often
10 minutes every day is better than 1 hour once a week. Set a small daily goal.
Say it out loud
After a correct answer, replay and repeat the sentence.
